Le Finistère nord est une côte difficile et rude où le surf se mérite. Quelques vagues de qualité raisonnable visibles de la plage ou des sentiers côtiers permettent aux plus pressés, aux enfants et aux débutants de glisser régulièrement tout au long de l'année. The northern coast in the Finistère region is rugged and tough. Here, you earn the surf. Mais dans une zone où le marnage peut atteindre 10 mètres d'amplitude, où les houles se succèdent d'octobre à mai et où les îlots de granit pullulent, vous imaginez bien qu'à force d'observation, d'exploration et de patience, les locaux vivent régulièrement des moments privilégiés. Muni d'un chargement le plus léger possible, nous prenons la mer en pirogue. Chacun porte un longboard, des vêtements & des vivres. As light as possible, we start our trip paddling our "one man" canoe. Each of us carrying a longboard, clothes and food.

L'équipe arrive enfin sur l'îlot, le matériel est débarqué jusqu'au sommet, au milieu des landes & des cailloux. The team finally arrives on the islet and all material is dropped on the top of it between rocks and moor.

Mise en place d'un campement, le plus discret possible, préparation pour la nuit. Building a sheltered camp and getting ready for the night.

Malgré le vent encore fort, la partie ouest de l'îlot semble promettre une jolie vague surfable au bon moment de la marée. Despite a wind still strong, the west side of the islet, seems to hide an interesting right hand wave at the best moment of the tide.

Soleil couchant, le vent commence à tomber, les lumières sont à la hauteur de nos attentes, une belle soirée commence. Sunset, the wind is falling, amazing lights, a nice evening in perspective.

Au petit matin, les lumières sont encore plus belles, nous découvrons un paysage apaisé et une récompense bien méritée. Early morning, lights are even better, discovering a calmed landscape and our final reward.
